Jeanette and Pat go to South America

Here is our Galapagos tour boat - the Samba. It was built in 1966 and is a 78-foot motor sailer that takes 12 passengers. The crew includes Captain, mechanic, cook, 2 sailors and a naturalist guide.

We join Samba on January 17 for 8 days. By then we will have walked the Inca trail, and have trekked in Patagonia. The Galapagos was the initial inspiration for our trip - I have wanted to go there since I was given a beautiful nature book by my uncle for my 10th birthday. Can't believe we will soon be there!
